Wow, this is why I love F150s, my dad's feels brand new and doesnt make a sound going over rough pothole filled streets, not even from the bed, thats being built damn solid.

The reason the toyota is like that, is because the rear frame is unreinforced, the middle is reinforced and the front is boxed frame. But yes toyota is a load of crap. Its either a "toy" or you have the 80's compact trucks that say "yo"

Ill stick with GM, there engines are more powerful :)

Those video's rule, I've seen those on SVTP before. So you would pick a truck based on engine, and not on how sturdy/stable reliable it is? How do you figure? The F150 5.4l has more torque than the 1500's 5.3l. Ford's V10 has 20 more hp and almost 100 more pounds of torque, Ford doesn't have a 6.0l V8 to compete with to Chevy so the V10 is the competition. And Ford's diesel? There is no competition.

Along with thosae vidoes, you tube also had several videos done by a Toyota Dealership showing a Tundra palying tug-00war with an F150, A Dodge Ram, and a Silverado. You can easliy see how fake these tugs are. It is very obvious that the Ford, Dodge and Chevy are all in two wheel drive, and the Tundra is in four wheel drive. Also, the Tundra driver holds the brakes and waits for the other truck to start spinning it's one wheel. Then he lets off the brake and easily pulls the other truck across the line maiking it look like the Toy has a lot more pulliing power than the other trucks. What a crock !!

I work at the plant that makes the F150 , Expedition and Navigator frame. They are tough! We ran some crossmembers for Toyota in our Press Dept. Very thin metal!

Man that Tundra was TOO FUNNY! That was always one of the key points I told people about the F-150 when I used to sell them. A lot of people thought it was just for towing.....nope, it contributed to everything, the ride, how it handled, etc etc.

PhastPhil, I saw the exact same thing, I just shook my head at it.

Man, now that I watch it again, it looks like the Tundra's bed is a $10 dollar stripper shakin' that a$$!

Actually the 8.1 V8 is the competition for the V-10 which if I am not mistaken makes more HP AND torque than the V-10. I would not say there is no competition for the Ford diesel as the last gen and even the new diesel are showing to be rather problem ridden. They may have power, but the Cummins and Duramax seem to be tougher with less issues.

I have a 97 Yukon that drives like that on a part of I95 thats was stripped for repaving.

Maybe they all need to goto Ford for a lesson on how to build them tough.

A 97 tukon is built on a platform 2 generations old, get an old Bronco from the same era and it would no doubt do no better than your Yukon.

Are you another Ford nay-sayer or something? Every other post you have is, "Oh man my old B and D bodies were awesome!" If you had read my post, I did state that Ford doesn't have a bigger V8 and the V10 is the competition for Chevy's 6.0. And, I don't even think Chevy makes the 8.1 anymore since it's no where to be found on their site. And the 8.1l doesn't make more power than the 6.8l. It only puts out 340hp and has 447 pounds of torque. Ford's V10 puts out 357hp and 457 pounds of torque.
