What I need to know about the rear gearing is are the 4:10 gears a little stiff, I do a lot of highway driving and 90-100 is always where i drive at wouldn't 3:73 gears be better, I know rinehart (sp) engineering is pushing the 4:10s but i want to know from guys that have them

If you search through this Forum, you'll find literally dozens of posts, descriptions, etc. about gears and mods some of us have done. I've done the complete "Reinhart Package" (otherwise known as the "Logan Mods") and could NOT be happier! BTW, Bill and I attended a SVTOA meeting in ATL earlier this week. I let a Cobra owner drive mine and he was blown away by my MM!

4.10's at 80mph raise your rpm's by 350 rpm. You don't even notice it.

Check out this page I created on comparison rpms:

The 4.10's keep the motor in it's power band. The 3.73's while an improvement, simply aren't enough, they leave you with a bog while the motor revs up.

hey todd, are yoyu going to be at SSHS2? it'd be cool to see what a modded MM does in comparison to the modded SS's. hope to see you there. rock on, rus

I drive a lot of open-road miles like you do, and have installed the complete Performance Package as offered by Dennis Rienhart, which as you know, includes the 4:10 Final Drive. Admitedly, there are times that I wish the Gears were closer to 3:73 to perhaps save a little 93 Octaine, but the Overall Enhanced Performance of the "Package" keeps such a "Grin" on your face, that you'll be glad that you did.

Faster Lane Changes to slide into the "tight windows" that Interstate Driving provides as Lane-Changing opportunities, moving into Traffic from the On-Ramps, and "Green-Light Get-Aways" will convince you that you made the right move.

93 Octaine seems to be a lot cheaper at BP, Marathon, Meires, and Sams Wholesale Club.

Make the "Move", and hit the "Groove"!

;)
