Sup yall..
aye i got the brand new flowmaster super 44s along with the true x-pipe by magnaflow performance exhaust. I must say, its not what i thought it was going to be. However it may be because i was wanting it to sound similar to my 2000 4.6 mustang gt that i use to have in which i had borla cat back with x-pipe and a few other mods..but the gt sounded freakin NAAASTY..

The super 44s, from the inside of my merc, sounds almost like an import!!! ;/ im like wtf?? its ok tho, i was expecting drone but its not too bad actually. The basic exhaust set up resulted in some significant improvements on take off on my otherwise stock MM.. The 44s were advertised to have a distinct sound and it sure does have a unique sound..its good, im not complaining but i was expecting it to be a lot louder and deeper like the super 40s(on a MM) that ive seen on you tube..additionaly, when u mash on the gas is seems like the flowmasters go away and it sounds stock!! my next mod, im going to get those DR cobra manifolds, id like to know more about that.

I think you are getting that sound from your x-pipe. You keep the deep throaty sound with a h-pipe. Did you happen to cut out the two rear cats? Just wondering. and the cobra manifolds would just be 03-04 cobra manifolds. You can buy those for like $30-$60 usually.

Where can you get Cobra manifolds for 30-60 bucks?

Yeah the X-pipe will do that. I've thought about getting the 44's but am waiting till a friend gets them installed on his cobra to hear the difference.

I'm getting the Super 40's installed on Thursday. Have you thought about delete tips?

I just got the cobra system installed 2 months ago and have the flowmaster 40 series and it sounds great.I was told by the owner of the muffler shop that they ordered a bunch of them and they havnt sold many.He told me to stay away from them,cuz the sound wasnt as good as he expected it to be coming from a flowmaster even with the H- pipe

when u say cobra system, do u mean like manifolds from a svt mustang cobra ?

oh ya, i was reading on this other post that the resenator delete tips dont do much? i want mine to be loud
