Has anyone removed the side molding?

Are there any pictures? I did a search and could not find any pictures.

Perhaps, one of you photoshop wizards will create one for me.

Thanks

Ozzy

I saw mine before it put back after the re-paint while the side look "fresh" it does not blend in well with the bumpers.

Yeah I am normally a fan of deleting trim (when I did body and paint on a 3rd gen Trans Am, for instance, I welded up the holes and deleted all of the trim. This made the car look more modern and fantastic). However, you can tell looking at the contours of our doors that the molding completes the body line, and it will look really odd without it.

You could make custom door skins, or modify the existing skins cutting and welding, to remove the "dip" where the trim is ...

but luckily our stock trim doesn't look that objectionable. You wanna see some bad trim, look at a 90s pontiac. Then feel good that your car does not look like that.

It starts to take on a bulbous Caprice-esque look without the moldings. NOOOOO!
