The October issue of Hot Rod has some news about Ford's upcoming Hurricane/Boss engine. Roush racing is running a prototype experimental version. They described it as a larger version of the modular engines. It has much larger bore centers of over 4.5", allowing displacements of 7 liters or more. They show a picture of the engine in the car, its a SOHC with iron block that runs 9's naturally aspirated running on E85. They said they are rumored to be working on all aluminum twin cam versions, and a twin turbo Twin Force direct injection version in testing. :beer:
