I like that is comes with a "(set of four)" alloy wheels. I wonder what people got in the past before they started telling them how many alloy wheels they'd get? Maybe, in the past, Ford just put them on the passenger side for "Curb Appeal".
Why Ford thinks cars like this wouldn't sell here is beyond me. Most of the Aussie stuff would sell here in a heartbeat. How useless are the North American marketers?

Just requested a brochure, let's see if one arrives.
Nice, six speed also!

Remember the 2003 300A Marauder came with 5 aluminum wheels, albeit one was not polished, then the trade for the traction control and the mini wheel...so then you only got 4 polished spoked aluminum wheels... Just their way of telling you that the spare was not the same as the road wheels...amen

I wonder if that ZF 6 speed auto could be retrofitted to our cars. Would be nice to have that sequential shift feature!

Not a very sporty looking car. But the powerplants and trannys are enough for me.

I don't exactly think a $75K car with IRS is the "equivalent to the VIC". $75k will get you a whole hell of a lot of car in the US too (but I don't have that much!!)

How is a $75k car a missed opportunity? Is everybody else other than me here able to afford that? Heck I like 7 series BMW's a lot and it's an awesome car but I can't afford one, else I'd own it.

For $75K ford could have put the V10 van engine and rocket boosters on the Marauder. It would have come with a toaster, blender, and coffee pot built into the dash too. It's all a matter of cost!

I do wonder if Ford ever did bring that platform over, re-designed it (it would be a must) if the price would drop. It would have to I think. They know if you put that car in front of someone, along with a 7 series BMW, which one do you think they'll take? They'll have to cut that price to low to high 30's.

$75,000 AUD is about $60,000 USD

Also, the gear ratios seem to be matched to the 3V SOHC V8 engine.
You mate that trans with a 4.10 gear that most Marauders are being changed to, and you get an astounding(most likely unusable) 17:1 first gear.

Also, did you notice the 3500lbs towing?

According to my handy-dandy calculator 230kW is 308.43 HP.

Not enough for my $60,000 USD. But the 6 speed auto does sound interesting :)

Seems to me they just stuck the F150 5.4L in.

It has about 400 ft/lbs of torque though, maybe if they gave that engine a bit more hp and re-badged it as a Lincoln, they would attract more of the BMW, Lexus, etc..market here.

They'd have to style it alil more after the marauder. It still looks like a normal ford to me.

A 6 spoke version of the marauder rim would be cool :D

Wouldn't it be nice if it became the next Lincoln Town Car, but built in the good old U. S. of A. I've read that Australian build quality leaves a lot to be desired.
