Dealer washed it up, but never did the inside. Theres alil sweet and sour sauce in the cup holders and on the windsheild whiper controls, so on saturday ill get in there with a cue tip and armor all whipes :)

Also what would you recomend for scratch removal? Nu finish? Scratch doctor? I dont really have good wax, have some old turtle wax i could use but dont know how good it is still. I'd need to pick up some things though, like armor all and tire shine.

That was taken in the street but its in the driveway now.

One question, the drivers side weather stripping on the right side of the door frame popped out, and it seems really hard to get in, how DO I get it back in?

I would stay away from armor all on anything, I've seen it damage interiors when you stop using it. Seems to turn whatever it's on white and dry out plastic products ie- vinyl.
I use lexol for leather seats.

+1 on not using AA. I use STP SOAG (Son of a Gun) on all plastics, and I use Motorcraft Leather clean to clean my seats and Meguiar's to make them shine.

Personally I like the look of the interior when just clean. No shiny stuff for me.
On cars I had with leather I used Lexol cleaner and conditioner. It left the seats with a nice sheen, and not greasy or slippery.

personally i let it get dusty.

In the winter, up here, the sun is at such an angle that it will blind you if everything is shiny inside.

For leather go to a leather shop and get some leather conditioner. Don't spray the non leather part.

How bout for the scratches? Will a regular scratch remover work? My friend used Nu finish on his 98 ranger and it got most the stuff out. Mine are very minor scratches, some by the bumper from stuff being dragged across. Hope that comes out.

+1 on that ...mess's it up bad!
I got the full line of Meguire stuff...Clay bar, all the paint clensing steps, polish for the rims, leather conditioner, etc. Get your self a California Blad to get most of the water off before you use the Chamois
and a
Duster too... just for the car show or local parking lot touch-ups.

In your 4th pic, it appears that you have a partially hidden view while backing out of your driveway.
Might I suggest that you get into the habit of backing into your driveway. You know that your driveway is clear of traffic when you back into it. Then going forward while going onto the street will be far easier. Less likely of some ricer racing down your street only to be stopped instantly against by your very clean car. I have a similar driveway and I'm always very careful of backing onto the street; but a ricer did in fact almost nail me once. No more backing on the street for me!

BTW, the DTR looks sharp!

Yes but its not as bad as it looks, by the time the rear wheels are on the sidewalk you can see fine. Plus i'd have more of a chance of getting hit from backing in by someone speeding down the road. People in NJ cant drive

More Pictures i took after giving up on the home link

Go on-line and get a catalog from Griots Garage. They have great stuff for almost any purpose in and out of the car. I have been using their products for years and I love their service. IN particular their Speed Shine.

The face plate screw? No why?

Question for homelink users, this is a pain in the *** and is nothing like the one i programmed for the tahoe. Where is the red light!? The one on the dash? The compass responds to pressing the buttons, but i didnt notice the red dash light to do anything but blink

i love it man... you dont need to go badgeless... just topless:P

awesome and clean. i was an upholsterer for 2 years. to soften your leather, wipe a damp cloth on it and then dry it. dontlet the water sit but make sure to wipe it. it makes the leather more supple and soft.... if it sits for too long, it can rot, but dont worry about just rubbing it. i do all the time.

the seats are very clean, but the cup holders and whiper controls show signs of 6 piece chicken nugget meal and fries

Nice car.

That car was at the Dodge dealership on Route 4 in Paramus.

Where in NJ are you at?

I just bought a MM the other day, just finalizing the transfer.

Remember that racing takes place on the track, and up to the speed limit at the lights.

Don't do something stupid and wreck that beautiful DTR or yourself. No matter how tempting it is.

What a car. You should be so proud. It's drop dead gorgeous. Now, if you even THINK about driving this thing through a pennsylvania winter, instead of that jeep, I'm going to personally come down there and ... :censor:

On your scratches, I had the same problem, so I buffed the whole car out. Made it look a whole lot better, anything deep needs to be color sanded with 1500 or finner. I have been doing this kind of work for 25 years, so if you don't feel confident with doing this yourself than try to hookup with someone with experience. There is material there to work with. Good luck. P.S. that stuff you buy in a bottle, does'nt take care of the problem, it only hides it.
