Flying out to Heathrow in the morning, and I'll be spending 10 days between Claverton Down and Bradford-On-Avon (both outside of Bath, Somerset).
Any recommendations for Pubs?
Note...
Any place requiring more than a hands and knees crawl will be rejected out of hand

Funny how it is named Bath and they are not even sure if they have found the Roman baths.
Is that little house at the top of the hill still there?
If you want to stop at a great pub on the way to Bath from Oxford, there is a TINY town called Fyfield (about 30 people live there) about 6 or so miles outside of Oxford. a minute or so down the road from the Greyhound pub and they have a great pub called the White Hart. I have my brochure from the pub right here beside me.
Telephone number (0865) 390585.
It is on the A420.
It is a erected in 1442. (9 years before Columbus was born) as a chantry house. In 1580 it became the property of St. Johns College and was leased out as a public house.
Anyway it is old.
They have lots of room, 4 areas and a huge selection of food, 4 chalkboards full to choose from.
I used to enjoy the potato skins with chilli and cheese, or some of the local game. Their baileys cheese cake is to die for.
If you are interested in old Jaguars there is a place right at the corner where you turn in from the A420, they fix or restore them.
Also on Frilford Heath, there is a hotel called the Dog House pub and hotel (not sure if it had its own name) It is a 4 star resturant but a great little pub with the best onion soup. (Frilford Heath is just down the A415)
A little out of the way but a great pub if you are looking for one.
