I am in the works of exploring just that. However, I own a 300A so I don't have T/C. So, I don't think there will be any problem on the 300A except for the difference in speedometer reading with the smaller tires in the rear. Those with the 300B's and T/C will have more of a problem as I believe the rear tire size difference will trip the TC light. Any other thoughts out there......

M03 is correct, I have 26.9" tires all around now and TC lite comes on at 40, but simply turn off TC and all is fine. ABS is fine.

SilverMarauder,
You might need taller springs for that. I'll live with 5 235/50 18s on my future MM, thanx.
HI I PUT THE SAME TIRE SIZE AS REAR ON FRT WITH NO PROBLEM,I DO NOT HAVE TC, AND ABS IS FINE PLUS CAR STANDS BETTER AND I CAN ROTATE MY TIRES. BUT IF YOU HAVE TC I THINK YOU WILL HAVE A PROBLEM IF YOU PUT THE SMALLER FRT TIRES ON THE REAR BECAUSE THE VSS SENSOR IN THE REAR AXLE WILL NOT BE CALIBRATED TO THE OSS IN THE TRANS AND WILL GIVE YOU A CODE OR THE TC WILL SHOW A FAULT OF SOME KIND I WILL CHECK IT OUT AND GET BACK. Phil: Thanks for the input, it helps in my ultimate decision on tire size when replacement is due. Now, turn off your cap lock. We can all hear you fine......

Since we are talking tires....do all the majors like Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli, Bridgestone...make the standard tire sizes that come stock with the MM?

To Phil,
How is the handling with the taller front tires? Do the taller tires rub the fenders at all? Fil us in, please... maybe with a pic....?

Marauder 57,
Check out www.tirerack.com. We can still get an awesome deal on factory BFG tires. Their prices even went down on the front sized ones.

THe current tires look pretty good and seem to handle well....but I have put Michelins on the last 2 vehicles I had and they are great....never had BFGoodrich...until now....which is considered better? Or is it a toss up?

Do the tires scrub with same size on front as the rear size?
no the tires do not rub at all, plus i think i can lower the car some day and still not rub, i have taken some hard corners and no rubbing, i will try and send a pic tomorrow. it looks better and i think it rides better, the tires are cheap just do it thanks phil
