So, my Marauder crapped out on my wife today at lunch.

I had it towed to the dealer, and it turned out to be just a bad battery.

My service advisor is new, and he told me it was under warranty for 4 yr. or 50K miles. I was just about to turn 30K. but I knew I was right at the 36 month time frame, and even mentioned that to him.

He later says that he made a mistake, because he thought the Marauder was under the Lincoln side of the house, rather than the Ford/Mercury side. Duh!

It turns out that I'm just 3 days out of warranty.

Luckily, because he made a mistake, they did in fact cover the battery and the towing, which makes me very happy.

Anyhow, I was just telling my wife about how the owners of Blue Marauders like to make sure they use the word "Blue" in the names they give their cars.

I told her that I didn't want to call it just "Red". I thought I should at least call it something that sounds like a real name, but equates to red, like Reba.

So, later today she told me. . . . "Reba died on me today!" I thought that was cute. Reba is kind of funny, annoying, and obnoxious. My Marauder is loud and obnoxious(straight pipes, and delete tips), so I said what the hell. . . "Reba" it is.

You mean "Reda" don't ya.

I was just starting to wonder how her death had slipped by me, when i read the title of your post.

Whew, all is well.

Congrats, on the battery, bet that was as much a surprise as it was for me, finding out my wiper blades were still under warranty at 20k

John, Glad to hear all "Reba" needed was a new battery.....
I thought for a minute you were beatin' on her too much and
the motor crapped out. Keep the home fires burning.:flamer:

Gotta Love It!

Great name.....fiery redhead; but soft and gentle when need be.....perfect!

But, please, don't scare me like that again. (http://www.reba.com/)

Sorry about that Mike. The name kind of started out as a joke, but I'm liking it more all the time.

I'll just be a little kinder to any Reba fans out there the next time my DTR (Dark Toreador Reba) lets me down.

How about Red Rock Canyon outside Vegas, if you go to Vegas you must check it out. Amazing place to see.

This is really weird.

Today I had a Jeep Liberty pull into my driveway. Out stepped a rather stunning lady about 25 years old. She told me that she and her friend were really lost.

I looked at the plates on the Jeep. Massachusettes.

Yep, somehow these two ladys got lost on their way to a Reba show in Moorhead Minnesota and ended up here. I'm so far out in "the sticks" that the dark side of the moon is just down the road from me.

Moorhead Minnesota must be about 300 miles from here. I gave 'em directions back to the interstate. Unfortunately I think I scared these two gals. Drooling and laughing at the same time probably does that.

Never been a country music fan but now I'm considering becoming a roadie for Reba. ;)
