I named mine "Betty", after the a$$ kicking classic rock song "Black Betty" by Ram Jam.
"Whoa Black Betty, Bam-a-lam, she really gets me high,
you know that's no lie,
she's so rock steady, and she's always ready, Bam-a-lam."

My wife simply refers to it as:
"Rick's Black Car" with the emphasis on "Rick's" even though we are a 1-car family. She chose this name because I was the one who chose the car, with very little input from her.

My first MM was "my Girl" and the beast I own now is "Patches, the rag doll." Surely, different affections for each.

I haven't chosen a name per se. I refer to it as ethier my "other girlfriend" or my "peni$ extension".
If I were to name it, Elvira - mistress of the dark - has a nice ring. F-117MM also comes to mind.

I named my car Nyx.... the Greek goddess of the night, also the daughter of Chaos.
"There also stands the gloomy house of Night;
ghastly clouds shroud it in darkness.
Before it Atlas stands erect and on his head
and unwearying arms firmly supports the broad sky,
where Night and Day cross a bronze threshold
and then come close and great each other."
(Hesiod, Theogony, 744 ff.)

I am using the Bluesmobile (obviously) but have also been referring to it as Lord Vader.
My wife wanted to label it "TLB" for "Testosterone-Laden Behemoth"
Great ideas here - love the Elvira one.

Well -unintentionely, mine somehow keeps being referred to as "Rauder" by everyone in the family--so I guess that has become it's nickname--just not sure if it's a "SHE" or a "HE"--
I guess that will depend on how it develops --over the "mod" period.....the eventual performance level obtain will determine it's reference--he or she...

I call it my "mid-life crisis car" I bought it a week before my 40th birthday. I've never owned a high performance car in my life. It's great!!
We also refer to it as "the beast". When someone asks what it is, I tell them it's a "Grand Marquis with an attitude." My 3 year old daughter calls it "Daddy's big black car." (She would rather ride in it than in Mommy's Suburban.)

I'm changing my car's name from "Big Blue" to "The Blue Meanie". After all, a Beatle's reference is much cooler than an IBM reference. Not that my car is all that "mean". But when your daddy is a Mustang Cobra and your momma is a Grand Marqui LS, and you've always been considered the "blue sheep" of the family, you're bound to have some attitude issues...
