Wow !!! I used to live less than a mile from there ... right where Front Street passes under the Meadowbrook Parkway. Almost 30 years ago now --- 1978-1980.

These Nittos have a 420 tread wear on them they are a hard tire plus mix that in with the old pavemnt and it may have changed the smell.

Come to think of....it could have been a exhaust smell. Almost smelt like sparklers (think July 4th) as crazy as that sounds. Could of been maybe because the cats were cool and could not burn off all unburned fuel?

I know about this event but Ill be in the Bahamas that weekend. Ill try to plan a Sunday for open racers.

That burnout was the first time I put my foot in it in over a week.
Its possible I was blowing all the carbon out.
