Any advice on the Correct Parts Number to lay on my Servicing L-M Dealer's Parts Department for Ordering the Rear Spoiler Kit, or my local (INDY) Kenny Brown PErformance Center for the "Dead Pedal" Kit?

Is the Uninstalled Price of Each one about $300.00 / $85.00 respectively?

Many Thanks!

Thanks Logan - Mine's now on Order at my Local L-M Dealer Parts Dept. Manager. Seems that he found a route to it through a Ford Probe Vehicle Spoiler, than transferred (the Route / Part Number) over to the MM Model. and it popped up. He couldn't find a Listing under GM or MM.

Think I should just call Kenny Brown locally here, and Order the Dead Pedal that they install in their Panther Models?

Hello all....
Part number from my Ford dealership invoice is...2W7Z5444210AAB, which is the Marauder spoiler painted black. He verified somehow that part was in fact for the Marauder, which is more than I can say for the Mercury dealer where I bought the car at. They insist that they dont make a spoiler for the Marauder, as well as the trunk organizer! Its amazing the Mercury doesnt know anything about parts for a car they are selling, but Ford does! Got the Pre-painted for $220 from my local Ford dealership, and they installed it free just to get the chance to look over the Marauder for a couple of hours. When I picked it up, the Ford guys were still looking it over, with envy I might add! By the way.....the Ford mechanics pretty much told me that they would gladly service the Marauder after the chip and 410 rear end swap, and wouldnt hassle me over the warranty, as long as it was done right. I am telling you...guys on here have been right from the start about going to the Ford dealerships for service and warranty work without a hassle, especially the senior Mustang tech....

Gents,

Still no Dead Pedal! I have called the boys at Kenny Brown and asked when they are going to ship the product (Ordered it over two weeks ago) and I get "We are working up some install instructions for you. " Sure hope I get it before this weekend. I have a four day weekend and this will give me something to do.

Piglet,
The guys at Kenny Brown tell me that your dead pedal shipped today (along with instructions) and you should have it on the eleventh.

PGLT - Darm Man - the 11th is when mine was supposed to arrive here in Indy!

You think that they hit the Panic Button, and are sending mine to you, just to take the pressure off?

Let me know how "My" DP feels, dude!

No, WJS, I am quite certain they did not hit the panic button. My car is in there for the full KB treatment and I periodically check with them for updates. Yesterday I mentioned that someone has been waiting two weeks for their dead pedal. They then "finished" up the insturctions and stuck it in the mail. Trust me, they have plenty of dead pedals. My guess is that you will get yours on that day as well.

If not give them a call.

What exactly is a dead pedal? I've never heard of that before.

"Dead Pedals" are fashioned to provide a Surface (much like an actual Pedal in your car), for your Left Foot to Rest comfortably on, while your Right Foot is on the Accelerator. Most Sport Cars have it set up so that your Lower Body is Sitting in a Balenced and Comfortable Position, and that you have some "Bearing" Surface to support your Body on, so that your Right Foot can move in and out on the Accelerator Pedal, and switch from the Accelerator to the Brake Pedal, with comfort, ease, and balance.

Otherwise, you're forced to "Glue" yourself to your Seat using the "Pucker Valve", and "Driving By The Seat Of Your Pants".

(On the Question of "What Is A Pucker Valve", I humbly and respectfully defer to our Moderator and Leader, LOGAN.)

What Is A Pucker Valve

Pucker Valve is measure in Pucker factor. This is the force that is exerted on a seat by a driver, piliot, or even passangers to keep something that is going to happen from happening. IE: a car slamming into another, or a plane going into the ground.

Have seen pucker factor work. F117 minus one wing staying up long enough to clear the civilian housing.

Or gun camra footage of an f/a 18 with no power landing safely.

When you get the dead pedal installed, please take some pics of it. I am interested to see what it looks like, and how it looks on the vehicle.
Thanks

mensrea,

Well my computer took a nose dive a couple of days ago and I just got it back from Gateway. It now runs XP Home. Kinda looks like Win 98 but bigger.

I will be looking for my dead pedal in the mail tomorrow.

I will let everyone know the pros and cons of the installation.
