Has anyone bought from this vendor for Camera stuff?
http://www.fotoconnection.com/

They have very good prices on dSLR stuff, on some of the Nikon kits their prices are below other vendors enough to make me go "hmmm...why?"

I've heard of bad experiences, and want to avoid that but like good prices, has anyone shopped here or heard of them?

Pricing example, for instance the basic D40 kit from Nikon (D40 body, 18-55 lens) is $500-$550 most places. This place sells that basic kit for $445 and tosses in a digicam extras goody bag. (Whatever that is) That seems low enough to make me wonder about what they're selling.

Could be "grey" market stuff.

I did a lot of price shopping and ran into many grey market items or items without chargers, batteries, cables, etc.

For warranty purposes I think one should buy from an authorized dealer. I purchased from these guys. Good prices, US product, full warranty, quick shipping, no BS hassles on upgrades.

I bought my higher end Canon EOS stuff at BestBuy on sale, because they have such great service and warranty, too, 4 year.

I bought the lenses at Amazon.com, came from their seller, Adorama. Very nice outfit.

I bought my Olympus SP-550UZ at Broadway Photo in NY and got a great price and excellent service since the first one I got had some issues and was replaced ASAP!!

Go to www.bwayphoto.com and have a look around!!:D

BTW, the 550UZ has 7.1 Megapixels, 8X optical zoom and 5.5X digital giving a total of 100X!!!!:bows:

It also used AA batteries....a BIG plus for me since most proprietary battery packs are $100 or so!!:argue:
