I found Locally an Impalla SS 1995 black grey inside. 95000km, 59000miles.

$9000 Canadian.

I know the Impalla was the Chevy atempt to make a Marauder back in the 90's but what else?

Would be a good winter city second daily driver car?

or Should I keep looking for a Blue Marauder?

It'd make a good beater until you find a Blue Marauder for your winter driving.

I would stop short of calling an SS a "beater". They're actually becoming sort of collectible from what I understand. Still not a Marauder, but it's a car I have a lot of respect for...

I thank Chevy for the SS.... That car made driving a 4door RWD V8 sedan cool.

For those of us who know it's more than a pretty Caprice anyway.

There are still a lot of people who, as for the Marauder, don't know it was ever made. It will age well though.

I think I would make the SS my second car and keep looking for a real "beater". As was stated earlier this car made you believe that 4 doors was cool!!

The Impala SS was cool. My brother had one. Procharged, Six Speed Conversion and shot of juice. Never ran the juice but the car was fast, and the six speed was cool in a big car.

Awesome highway car. Like our MM. Big fast 4 Doors rule. And are major sleepers.

Opti. distributor problems come to mind. Average every 50K miles a $500.00 distributor will go, and no thats not labor to install. It's located under the water pump a real PITA... DO NOT WASH THIS ENGINE any water destroys the Opti also..:flamer:

Opti-spark sucked on all the LT1s. Camaros, T/A's and Vettes included.
