I got a hold of the one of the greatest pieces of technologya slingbox. it combines your television and the internet into one.
example
I have the slingbox in my den. one set of cables runs into it from my set top box. the other cable connects to my internet router. install the software and your done.
now for the fun part. anytime i use my laptop anywhere in the world i can watch my home telvision and control it completely. change channels operate my tivo etc.
when traveling i have access to my local news and local sports
there is no monthly fees once you own the box
at work, i can check live news and keep up to date with the world.
the SLINGBOX is so great Major League Baseball is already in the process of suing the makers to protect their broadcast rights.
