JUst had the 3500 stall put in and a tune. Wow..... this is the car I have been waiting for, but there is one problem. When the car shifts from second to third it will go back to second almost right after. Should I take it back to where it was tuned or can I simply fix this myself? Doesn't matter if it's on the highway or from a dead stop it'll go 1-2-3-2. If I'm light on the gas or not completely to the floor it will not go back to second.... just when I am hammering on it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Talk to the tuner and don't hammer it until you do. You're almost there!

I think you fix it yourself.

I would take it back. And don't press that happy pedal.

Mine is doing the same thing Dom. I beieve it would be wise to get the tuner to fix this issue.
Just raise the mph of the 2-3 shift and yoou will be fine.

Doofus... he NEVER said, in THIS post, that he got a DYNO TUNE done. AFAIK, he was referring to the original junk dyno tuner.....

That is exactly what I was thinking. Thank you. As far as numbers on the dyno it made 406hp to the rears so I have 501 and 1/5th horsepower. The guy also said his dyno reads about 2 boost too low and said I was making 9.7 pounds of boost so I guess I have 11 or 12. I don't know what to believe, but that stall and tune is what I was looking for. Mary maybe I'll be able to beat you in two weeks. :D

I thought the problem was fixed, but it isn't. It still goes back to second, but only for a second. Any suggestions besides adjusting the 2-3 shift? I found that the sooner it shifts the less it stays in going back to second... if you understand what I mean. :help:

Keep raising it
That makes it worse.

Dom, how are you making these changes? Did you go to SCT ProRacer?
You want to make sure the 2-3 downshift mph is below the 2-3 upshift mph at any throttle position. I sounds like somehow you've got the upshift and downshift lines crossing (but I thought it caused the PCM some trouble if you had it set that way anyway).
See this link for a shift schedule TMF posted awhile back as an example:

HE is using a predator
The Predator won't let you adjust mph vs. throttle position shifts (part throttle upshifts and downshifts) only WOT upshift rpms.
Dom, what do you have these set to?

Actually now that I contacted the source, I will recieve an email with the corrected program and will be walked though it. This should fix everything and I'm going to change my shift point back to 6100 I believe. It was at 5300 and it fixed the problem for a run and now it's back.

Just an update. I could not get the computer and tuner to communicate so I will try it again with my own computer tomorrow as suppose to my parents computer. If that does not work I will meet with the person with the program at 9pm or so tomorrow night. I'm telling you this guy is really something with putting up with my b.s. :o I think I can get it to work with my computer though... I keep everyone updated.
