Could it be the Chicago World's Fair? "Ford Built Tough":

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/2/1/9/0/Rotundawheel.jpg

"Three Ford V-8 cars suspended from a single Ford V-8 wheel is one of the spectacular features of the Ford Exposition. The wheel used is of standard one piece, welded-steel construction such as is found on any new Ford car. Tests show that the wheel has strength sufficient to support the weight of fourteen Ford V-8's."

My father will disagree, his 04 F-150 with the 5.4 has developed a knock.
We change the oil every 3K miles at the dealer with all motorcraft parts.

I know someone who had a 04 F150 that shot out a spark plug. Got it helicoiled and traded it in on a used 04 Ram :(

Is it still under base warranty? If all of the oil changes have been done at one particular dealer, then things could get handled smoothly and swiftly.

Did he buy it new? My Dad loves his '04 150, and it was used too with 17k on it.

Same here with my dad, thinks his 06 f150 is the best truck ever made period. And I beleive it too. Drove from Chicago to Monterrey Mexico and back, when it only had about 1500mi on it, now has about 7k, no weird noises, creaking, knocking, nothing...Very impressed with ford build quality on this one.

My father loves his truck and he has about 55K miles on it. He has the extended Warranty but he's one of those people that just wait until something major happens that forces him to bring it in. Most likely on a tow truck.
I keep bringing it up so he might get motovated.

They had to down shift (auto) and over speed (MPH) and way too many RPM's that will do it everytime.

Here's a couple pictures of "Built Ford Tough".

How tough is it? Well, my wood stove burns about 200lbs/day from around October to March. For four years now, every single splinter of it was hauled here with this truck.

It has done that without an air filter, oil change, or breakdowns. I've never even pulled the dipstick out. The carb got filled up with acorns once when I let it sit in the woods for a year, with the hood up. A Dorito bag used to serve as the power steering cap (that wasn't built Ford tough, so now it goes without one). The battery is held in with weed wacker line.

The passenger door won't open anymore. The floors have rusted out so bad that the cab twisted up and pinched the door shut. The rear gas tank fell off. There is no key or title. Driving it off road is fun because the floor heaves up and down over ruts which shoves my foot into the gas pedal.

The AM radio gets better reception than the one in my Marauder. I've never put more than two gallons of gas in it. I keep the needle on 'E' or below.

It starts everyday, even at 20 below zero. I'd call that 'Built Ford tough'!

ROFLMAO! The truck was given to me by one of my Droogs. It was in baddiwad shape when I got it. I suspect it may snuff it one nochy, but until then I'll viddy how many tolchocks this merzky starry veshch can take.

Right now it runs real horrorshow and has a lot of yarbles.

Don't have a zheena or abusive personality disorder. A strange collection of books and a gloopy sence of humor, maybe. :)
