View Full Version : Which Will Be Rarer: 2003 Blue MM or 2003 Silver MM?
Hello,
Any ideas on which will be rarer - the 2003 blue MM or the 2003 silver MM? On first examination, the silver would appear to win here as it was available for much less time in the 2003 model year than was the blue. However, the blue became available when many dealers were (apparently) starting to realize that their inventory of black MMs weren't moving. Thus, possibly far fewer blue ones were ordered than otherwise might have been the case. Anyway, I was just wondering what thoughts you might have here.
Thank you!

Silver could do well, the warmer regions are going to scoop them up, should someone care to tell them silver, (and the Marauder) is available. I've seen three silvers in person, and it's a sweet color
Blue is done already, and I've only seen one in person. Red hasn't shown yet, got to see one to believe it. Maybe this is the race to watch, eh? Red and Blue?

I think that the blue color is not available for the 2004 model year and the silver is, so just guessing I would pick the blue to be the rarest since production run was only a few months. Anyone else ?

Definitely Blue, but, I'm biased.....
Hello,
Sorry for any confusion on this thread. I was just wondering if, regarding 2003 cars ONLY - i.e., NOT counting silver 2004 MMs - which might prove to be rarer: blue or silver. I am interested in everyone's opinion on this one!
Thank you!

I go with the blue also for the 2003 model, sliver should be big down south.
I did notice at Kelly Blue Book web site that the only colors are Black, Silver, and Red for 2004.
Let start the betting for the 2004 Marauder, which one is going to be the rarest Sliver or Red?
I'll go with red!

My Dealer had a Blue, Silver and 2 Blacks all at the same time the Blue one sold 1st then the Silver 2nd and one of the Black Marauders this was a couple months ago and it didn’t take long to sell um!

The Silver is not bad looking but the Blue ROCKS!... In all honesty...with all the rain the Silver would be much easier to keep clean....I have only seen one silver...at a Dealership.....it looked pretty good....But Blue is best.....
I am hoping for them to add Gold! ;)

I belive silver will be the rarest for then 2003 model year. Blue will be the rarest of all the 2003 and 2004 models since it was only available for short period of time and cancelled for 2004. IMHO.

Blue will be the one! Short production. Many dealers afarid to take a chance on blue. Whereas silver is a more mainstream color.
Lots of silver in my area (phila) no blue one! Tons and tons of black. And that is why dealers are putting vinyl tops on them!
I live down south in Orlando, Florida, and have not seen a blue Marauder as of yet. I will have to say blue is the rarest.

I pick blue, but I'm biased too. Black is always nice, but I already have a black Continental and like Bigdogjim, I get tired of washing it all the time. I thought the blues would be rare, but not this quickly. They didn't even keep it for a full year's production.

I say blue, but like jrzygrl I am biased because I own one, and it's the only one I've ever seen. And while I admit I've never seen a silver one, there will be silver ones for 2004 which will be outwardly indistinguishable from the 2003s. Add to that the fact that the Blue will be the only color besides Black to have a body-colored grille, and you have to go with the 2003 Blue from a collectability standpoint. But c'mon, they're ALL gonna be future collectibles.

We live in Milwaukee and have a Blue MM. I have not seen any other blue ones except ours. We took it to an all Ford Car Show last weekend and everyone asked "I never knew they made blue." By the way, it won first place in 1972 and later class.
