Its interesting how much power the LT1 makes, i guess the 5.7L part helps
Theyre in the 9's and were barely in the 10's :(

That is true, however they have had up to 10 years longer to do the R&D and the work. We will get there sooner than you think. We have members pushing the envelope further every day. :)Dennis

A picture of a 95 Impala SS that is locally available and wondering if there was a forum like MM.net
ON Yahoo! Groups there are several Groups. I used to belong to one years ago when I drove a Caprice at work. That Group in particular has over 1200 members. LINKY (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/9c1/) I belonged back when there was less than 100 members. There is a lot of good info and folks there, at least there was when I was on it.
Having driven a take home Caprice for several years, albeit with the mini-LT engine, and a take home CVPI going on 8 years, I prefer the CVPI over the Caprice. The Caprice could handle well, but due to the smaller engine had no oomph. You played heck trying to break the rear tires on a take off. I just found the Caprice felt too big.
I know the dimensions between the Caprice and CVPI are not that much different, but it felt that way. Heck you could play ping-pong on the Caprice dash it was so big. :D
Given a choice, I will take the CVPI first. I think the fit and finish is better in the CVPI plus I do like the styling much better.
Just my two centavos worth.

Its also nice that you can pull out that boat anchor known as the LT-1 and drop in a LS-1 or LS-2 with ease.

Many of them are no longer 5.7L LT1s

Then someone needs to put a 5.4L 4V supercharged lightning motor into a marauder.

That and lot of other great ideas will get us to the nines in a street car somewhere near all of us sooner than we think. Dennis:2thumbs:
