View Full Version : My new ranger (still no marauder)

Well, i wish it was a marauder, and maybe it will be when i sell the thunderbolt, but for now this is the new project. Just thought i would show it off, as i lurk here a lot. My twin brother is here as hot-rauder.

Long story short, the truck will now be getting a mustang 5.0 and aod, because the stock 2.9 let go on the drive home. I'll post some motor pics when i get them...one of the valve seals actually slipped out and held the valve open, and there's a hole in a piston, along with both head gaskets being blown.

She is awesome though. 3 Link in the rear, lowered i-beams in the front. 4 inch bodydrop, laying rocker HARD. :)

never quite understood the fascination. But hey, as long as you like it! Has a ton of work and cash into it, good luck.

Looks cool!

Cant sell the thunderbolt! Put a 5.4L Lightning motor in there and make the original lightning bolt concept come alive.

That truck is to cool to sell.

I am not a big fan of lowering trucks at all...seems like a waste......but I have to admit that thing is pretty cool

Cool little truck, but was there a need to have a sweet looking cowl hood that's diesel looking and only be sporting a 2.9 under there?

I'm a huge ranger fan.. your new truck is pretty slick. Looks like it was very nicely done.

Yeah the huge cowl is to cover themotor...the back of the intake is level with the cowl. The bodydrop lowered all the body panels 4", so the motor stick up 4" higher now.

oh, and the 2.9 is no more. a healthy 302 will soon fill the framerails.
