My friend bought this car basically for the engine to use up in his build for his Impreza since the engine is rare to come by. It's a '93 Subie Legacy AWD 2.2l Turbo. So, I had to find an engine, which my friend did actually. It was from a local Subie speed shop. It's a 1.8l that's rebuilt. Amazingly though, the 2.2l heads will fit on the engine no problem, freeing up some HP. The tired old 160k Legacy turbo is coming off, a 50k WRX turbo is going on, full STi turbo back exhaust, and a custom intake is in the works for it. All in all the car is in great shape, no rust at all, new tires and brakes all around, and the tranny/AWD is perfect. So, I bought the engine/turbo for $250 (stole them!) the STi exhaust was my friends that he decided not to use on his build so he's giving it to me, and the intake is home built from a spare cone filter and some piping of some sort. The best part, he's only charging me $1k for the car and he and I will be swapping out the motors and doing all that work. So, I'm pretty excited since I will have a nice winter ride and a quick little reliable DD for years to come. I/we are hoping to achieve a little less than 200whp from it. :banana2:

Visit Joe spitz at WWW.Cars101.com (http://www.Cars101.com) for all your Subie questions.

WRX had a 2.2L engine and now a 2.5L engine.

STi is from a 2.5L engine, unless it is JDM.
