A little after dark I realized I had left my car out in the driveway. Slipped my shoes back on, went out and moved it into the carport. Later in the evening I heard a loud screeching of tires followed by a bang. Went outside and someone had slid across the driveway and hit a tree in my yard. He slid across the driveway exactly where my quarter panel had been when the car was parked there. Whew!

It was about 1-1/2 to 2 hours after I moved the car.
He slid diagonally across the driveway. There's a hill and slight curve at my house, he wasn't paying attention and straightened out the curve.
The tree didn't even get a scrape. Totalled his Ranger.

Wow, glad to hear a bigger screw up miraculously avoided.
Same thing happend with me last winter, usually would park the lincoln in front of the MM on the driveway to save space for the other cars up front, but for some reason decided to park it next to it instead of in front(closest to the street). Well next morning, found tire marks in the snow across the driveway where my car would have been parked, along with a small tree and neighbor's mailbox taken out. Turned out it was a neighbor who had too much to drink and came to apologize later on. :shake:
