installed the jetchip Sunday and been driving around for a few days now. noticed that the car downshifts 1 gear at the slightest pedal push, downshifts 2 gears with 1/4 pedal push, feels stronger in mid range and pulls like a freight train. very pleased so far. i also got a K&N panel filter and Borla cat back exhaust installed. if your not going to change gears to 4.10s, i highly suggest the jetchip.

i used the 99-02 CV/GM Borla 14986 and purchased the 2 brackets from Ford - 1 bracket for each side that has rubber donuts that hang to support the borla oem mounting hangers. i still have the megs tips. up for sale if anyone wants them. the borla system is a complete cat back - from the 2 bolt flange after the cats. it is 2.25" complete dual system with mufflers and hidden turn down tips - like a police car.

Joe, put your tips back on, the inlet and and guts are 2.25 OD clear through, and the Borla magic is done and over at that point.

Is the Borla system stainless steel? Does it have a H pipe or X pipe? I assume the mufflers come with the system? Does it bolt up to the Marauder cats in the stock location or does it require custom work?
Thanks

FordNut, the Borla system is all t304 stainless steel - mufflers, pipes, hangers and welds. i used the 99-02 muffler brackets from ford for the dual exhaust CV/GM - each about $20 and comes with the rubber donuts that the exhaust hangers hang from. i had to cut the pipe in the straight part right after the H pipe and take off 1 inch. i then expanded the rear part to make a slip fit and purchased 2 more Borla 2.25" accuseal stainless clamps so it will look like factory Borla. lastly, purchased 2 rubber donuts for the hangers for the tips as the stock donuts were not useable. noticed factory OEM system was 2.0" from cat back into the mufflers and each muffler had a 2.0" exit that was slip fit and welded to a 2.25" pipes. oem system was rusted even though it was suppose to be stainless. very very pleased. DEEP MILD TONE at 1500-1700 rpms - mild but noticeable. non existant above 2000 rpms.
Your system ^^^sounds SWEET...how 'bout some pics, next time on the rack?
