Help with back tire leak

Can anyone out there help me with this my rear tire on my 300A with 66,XXX miles the driver side is leaking fluid of some sort I cant figure out where it is coming from the master cylinder is not lossing fluid i monitored it for a week and this fluid is making my tire slick does anybody have an idea on what or where it might be coming from:help:

A little more info about your car would be helpful...year, A or B, mileage, etc.

Mosty likely it's a bad axle seal and you're losing gear oil. Get it fixed ASAP before you do expensive damage to the differential. If your car is an early-build 300A, (built before January of '03) you may have bad axles as well. There's a TSB for this (#03-5-5) along with a kit.

you know i used to work at a motorcycle aftermarket shop and in one of the catalogs they actually sold tail light fluid. came in a variety of colors to match your bike ;)

+1 for rear axle seal. this just happened to me a few weeks back. bearings went bad, scored the axle, seal leaked (and leaked pretty fast).
You'd probably be alright to drive it to the shop, but i wouldnt drive anywhere else with it like that.
Have them check the ebrake pads as the fluid may have saturated them also, they probably could use a good degreasing.

ALL agree...It's the axle seal...Get ready to change those axles...sorry

But this gives you good reason to go up to 4:10's
