I was hoping to see him get on it a little. Yeah the manual is really cool. It would probably hold up real well in a N/A car.

I think he's got an awsome set up with that Vic. With that said, watching that video was like watching the first half of the king kong movie "slow and un-interesting" just waiting for something to happen. Let's see what that thing can do next time with some rip roaring action.

Nice job with the car though. :beer:

Very cool, however the lack of seat belt use and the resulting 'warning chime', over...and over... ruined the whole video for me.:P

Nothing "on" his hood. It is actually what is sticking through the hood.

The car as a supercharged 5.4 from a Lightning in it. Needless to say, that setup is higher then the hood line on a Panther, so part of the intake is showing through.

I don't know for sure but something tells me he probably used a Mustang pedal assembly. I seem to recall hearing that's what people were thinking of using for these swaps.

I could very well be wrong, just a guess.

You are correct. The Mustang pedal setup does however get in the way of the PCM. If I did this conversion, I would have to find a tranny that had the shifter a little more further back than what I have seen as of late.

I miss my Roadrunner, I sold it to get the MM. I built an overdrive 833 to put in it and found McCloud makes a hydraulic clutch conversion kit that is small, mounted by the brake master cylinder , smooth as silk, got rid of a bunch of mechanical iron parts and cost 75.00. Easy to install, would free up lots of power to the rear wheels in the MM. Someone else will have to do the R&D on this project, I spent months and 35k figuring out how to do a Cobra motor in the MM without having to cut up the frame, the wife just wants me to drive the car and gets pissed if the hood is open for more than an hour.

Tom you are lucky as my wife notices when the car disappears for more than an hour. She knows someone is under the hood! The stick looks like fun.

I agree, the video needs some throttle. I couldn't give the transmission lots of torque because I'm following Tremec's break-in procedure. Some good video will come soon.

I used a pedal assembly from a 2004 Mustang Mach 1. This was the most difficult part of the swap. It involves cutting, welding and a bunch of creativity. No welding to the car has to be done, just the pedal assembly. The PCM is very close to the top of the clutch pedal, however it only requires putting a rubber vacuum cap on the end of a bolt.
The pedal assembly did come with a dead pedal, but I haven't tried to install it yet.
