Is the shifter in the floor or on the column?

They are nice cars, but you can't take it to SSHS7.

Thats not a problem.
The reliable Blue MM will be at SSHS7, sitting nice and pretty in the PARKING LOT.

I have a nice, rebuilt turbo for one of those, just sitting in the attic of my garage (and a stock torque convertor, too). The turbo has a slightly larger compressor wheel, but will bolt up to all the factory lines, pipes, etc. It makes for a nice street turbo, since the exhaust side is a little smaller (still stock sized, but now smaller than the compressor side) and doesn't experience much spool-up lag.
With those many miles, check the injectors and coil packs (there is an Ohm spec out there, somewhere). The stock injectors are already 'borderline lean' for the car's capabilities, and those coil packs are pretty much a somewhat regular maintenance item on most older 3.8 Buicks.
I think they may go through oxygen sensors sooner than other powerplants, too.
The Buicks had aluminum front covers (engine/timing chain) that also houses the oil pump, and become worn over time. So don't let low oil pressure cause you to become too alarmed (they may have just reused most of the car's original accessories on the new longblock).

I would guess that the white would be kinda rare.
Good luck!

Sorry, still cannot get over the cheesy door handles, 8' long doors and dining room chair front seats.

The car wasnt that special, but it did move out good.
Not worth the $6500

In stock form? Not according to owners of them that I've talked to. They weren't dogs but need work to live up to their 'reputation'
