This guy attempts to punch the gas in a drag race but instead he quickly discovers that he needs to fire his welder ASAP.

Actually, I know personally what happened on that fateful day. You see, it's a chevy. They break for no reason.

He's gonna need a LOT of duct tape.
Had the same thing happen to my '73 Gremlin. We had a submarine (which due to national unsecurity reasons shall go nameless) we had to get up on drydock one spring day. The tugs were all froze against the pier. This was during the blizzard of '69. Anywho, I hook up to the USS Manhammer and commence to draggin it up on the blocks. 10 beers and 2 pack a cigs later, we are almost there when the rearend blows out. The line sprung back so hard it imbedded the rear of the Gremlin into the sub. And shot the dual 454 engines so high, NORAD picked it up and almost nuked Norfolk. Luckily, the "unnamed" sub was on the blocks juuuuust enough to work. To this day we still gather round at the VFW and talk aboot how my car sacrificed itsself to protect this nation. And if you are ever out fishing and see a 1973 AMC Gremlin posi-traction unit with dualies on it staring you in the face, watch out for the incoming torpedoes!

That blizzard of '69 was a bad one back in 1974.
