I installed my deep aluminum transmission pan on Thursday and changed the filter. The filter just pressed into the transmission with a seal that looked like three stacked o-rings. What keeps the filter from falling out? I noticed some posts in the bottom of the pan. Do these contact the filter to keep it in the transmission?

Very important. I neglected this when switching to the FRPP deep pan and now I have had trouble with the OEM filter not staying in. People with deep pans take heed of my mis-fortune.

You don't use it, the plug for the pan is magnetic and takes the place of the "in the pan" magnet.

I put the magnet over one of the posts in the bottom of the pan and that's where I always find it the next time.
