I think my posi unit is pooped!

I am starting to get frequent "one wheel peel" while steering wheel is slightly turned and around corners. Occasionally on straight launches, one wheel leaves this black rubber patch on the pavement, and the other wheel (driver side), well, is asleep at the wheel so to speak. Sometimes it hooks fine, sometimes is hooks a little later, sometimes, it won't grab at all. (Sounds like the Three Bears)

I guess it's time to replace the clutches in the rear end.

Anyone have any recomendations on a good quality kit at a good price?

What would be better than OEM if there are any?

OEM is fine but check the Mustang sites for "how - to's" for stuffing extra clutch plates in for longer life. Just my two cents.

stuffing extra clutch plates in for longer life. .

I heard something about that before. I'll have to look into it. I know we used to do it on the old 9" units.

Time for more researach.

Thanks Gifter.

Jeez, $115....

M-4700-C, I saw those out there, but didn't know they were Corbon Fiber. I guess that's what the 'C' is...

Thanks for the heads-up. I may as well do it right. Funny, I am N/A and have only about 65 K on mine. I am surprised it is crapping out on me.

Looks like another weekend project for me.

It's a little cheaper here (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=FMS%2DM%2D4700%2DC&N=700+115&autoview=sku).

What I can't believe is more folks haven't had this same issue.

Guess I'm lucky, and my car is such a poosy(-cat) too. 9.8 in the 1/8 mi. What kinda' crap is that???
