I dont know how many NBA fans there are but its that time of year....the season starts next week I would like to hear about your NBA team.

Mine.....the Defending Champion San Antonio Spurs....the team is virtually intact from last season which makes them the favorite to repeat this year. The Spurs are the oldest team in the NBA again this year in average age of players, but they mesh well together.

The Spurs are going for their first repeat and their 5th ring in 10 years!!

Don't care about the NBA, too much "thugism", poor examples for the youngsters of today "Where have all the heros gone?"

If you compare Dennis Rodman to some of todays' players,, Dennis was a PIKER. At least he was entertaining.

The Lakers look like a sorry lot again this year. :(

Still injury prone; Kobe not happy with mgmt; No defense; a fragmented team.
I give them 0 chances to make the playoffs.

Being from BC, I'm a Phoenix Suns fan as I follow Steve Nash. I'm going to their final preseason game right here in Vancouver against the Sonics. This is the year of the Suns!

Remember how popular the NBA was when we all got to watch Magic Johnson & Larry Bird!?

Lakers vs. Celtics!?

Now I, like too many former fans, could care less about the NBA...:(

I haven't watched a game in years!

I must admit that I REALLY enjoy watching the U.S. All-Star showboaters lose to any other country's TEAM.

Well, tonight is the night.....ring ceremony, banner unvailing, vs. the Portland Trailblazers. I hope to be there tonight.

Go Spurs Go

Oh yeah....and the Spurs traded their back up point guard for a 2008 "Protected" 2nd round draft pick.....WTF does that mean...."Protected" He was not a bad player and has playoff and championship experience. Guess we will see what happens.

Better watch out -- the Lakers are coming! :shake:
This will give you a chance to see your bench players kick a$$.
You'll need plenty of coffee to stay awake. Bad team man - Buss did not want to pay anymore money for players to help Kobe.

Spurs are good, but teams such as phoenix, boston, miami (when D-wade is healthy) is going to give them a run for their money. But I am still rooting for the spurs.

Even with D Wade....I dont think the Heat have much of a chance unless Shaq is in a slump, but I think his is on his way out....and as far as Boston goes...they are a good team but remember Dallas last year started hot then faded at the end and went out in the first round.

SPURS still rollin'!!!!! Even with out Tim Duncan they can beat the good teams in the West.....both Dallas and Utah and remain undefeated at home.!

It's tough to be a Raptors fan, right now... After an 0-5 trip to the west, we're due for a win, and playing Miami tonight should be the cure for our woes.

Chris Bosh should be back tonight, so that's good - because he draws a double team everytime, he opens shots for the rest of the team. Hopefully he's ready for a return, and not coming back to help the team, at the expense of his own health.

Calderon has proven to be one of the best pure PG's in the league (still bitter he didn't get the All Star nod), but hasn't been his best lately. TJ Ford (coming back off injury) has proven he doesn't belong on this team - I like his energy, but the over confidence and "shoot first, shoot second" mentality is not good for a back up PG. He's also not adjusting to the back up role very well, as he was always a starter previously in his career.

We have 4 decent swingmen in Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon, Carlos Delfino and Jason Kapono, but no stability amongst them (other than AP, of late). Up until tipoff, there's uncertainty who will play well, and who will watch the apposing 2/3 run past for the easy layup...

Hopefully this team composes itself, and prepares for the last stretch, and the following playoffs...
