View Full Version : Well...got a job at Chrysler

SO....All I have been hearing since I started was "your car looks amazing BUT no challenge for the Charger". 2 Co-workers have R/T's Stock...is there any chance of me competing here with DR tune, and CAI and Flowmasters or is it just going to be embarassing....if 4.10's is all I need to keep up i will postpone the challenge until then..Any input welcome....yes yes flame the Chryler job as you wish hahaha

P.S. Going to take pic's for the Canadian Calender this weekend hope I'm not holding you guys up.

I have a track acquaintance with a stock Daytona R/T Charger. I spanked him every race with DR tune, JLT, PHP spacer and magnaflows.

No problem, you got this one.

My old boss had a stock Charger R/T datona we raced after work up to 90mph or so. He beat me but my front bumber was right his drivers door so it was close. Good Luck show them what is up. I only had a K&N Cai

Just tell the co-workers they did a nice job with an ugly car, but the Charger will never be a Marauder.

The Charger might take you off the line but you'll be able to run em down and pass em.

I read in Autoweek that Chrysler is cutting quite a few cars and trucks from the line up. One listed was the Magnum

I ran up against a Chrysler 300 SRT-8, it was a close race when we both took off at 60mph but by 80mph I just pulled him all the way to 140mph something then he let off or fuel cut off and he just stayed behind me the rest of my 12 miles on that highway lol.

If you have a tune you have a pretty good chance since their shifting is really soft and sloppy.

Dream on. With your mods you couldnt run with the 5.7 from a 60 punch, much less the SRT. Unless you are supercharged forget about it.:rolleyes:

I think you are forgetting going from a dead stop and already rolling are two different races.;)

Guess either the driver didn't know how to drive the car or maybe he is "cool" and put SRT-8 badges and gear on the car. :rolleyes:

It's all about the tune, I have no problem with keeping up with crotch rockets on the highway.

You would have a better chance from a stop. 3.08 gears in the Mopar versus your 4.10's
