Yes, i searched..........everywhere.

My car came with a tune from a gen1 SCT Xcal, but I have no idea what tune it has in it. The car has a flat dead spot around 37mph or so, just flatlines for a second. I'm having 4.10's put in as we speak, and they said they are going to calibrate the speedometer, not sure if I want them to tune it. Its getting dynoed while its there, i'll post my numbers when i get it back in a few hours.

Call Lidio personally? He will hook you up and you will NOT be disappointed with his tune. That was the first thing I bought for my car, well, aside from the JLT.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance, i'm car retarded when it comes to downloads/computers. I'm used to wrenching on 60s,70's and 80's muscle. You would think I would have adapted by now. :o
So I send him my tuner and a list of mods and thats it? Nice. :banana2:

AND if he didn't sell you the tuner, he likely won't provide a tune for it even if he did email 'em.

FormulaMarauder;

I'm reading this thread very carefully and I have some concerns for what you are trying to do. You say you have an XCal-1 with an unknown tune. You are having 4:10's installed and a dyno run but have not decided on a tune. Is this correct?

1st. Some Tuners (a person or company) lock their tunes so they can not be overwritten. Lidio does not lock his tunes.

2nd. If you elect to have your dyno personages do a tune then go out and buy a seperate tune you may undo what was just done or cause a bigger problem.

Tuners have their own methods of getting power through use of timing, fuel delivery and other parameters.
My recommendation is to send the XCal-1 to Lideo, he will put in his fameous Marauder tune. Remember, there are three seperate tunes that can be installed in an XCal-1.

In my case I have the standard Marauder tune in #1 position (93 octane), a 91 octane tune in #2 position for traveling, and a Nitrous tune in #3.

Lideo is always glad to talk to his Marauder brethern. Give him a call first.

Good Luck

I have Lidio's tune, and highly recommend it. Furthermore, I have spoken with Lidio a few times, and can recommend him personally.

I agree that it makes no sense to have your car dyno tuned, then have a Lidio tune put on after that. You're paying twice for the same thing!

If your car is nearly stock, you really don't need a dyno tune - spend your $$$ on Lidios.

Another problem: I don't see how he can make a living putting a tune on your x-cal. I don't know if he has a price for that. I think he sells x-cals with his tune already on it. If this is his policy, you could ebay your x-cal, and then buy his, with his tune.

The x-cal keeps a stock tune on it, plus three other tunes. I currently have a 93 3.55, 93 4.10 and Race gas 4.10 tune. The race gas tune is good at the track for an additional -.15 to -.30 off your ETs.

I went last night. Man was I flying! I'll be posting about that later ;)

I too have spoke with Lidio on more than one occasion and he is a straight foward stand up guy. I got my Dad his tune for his '04 F150 and I've given Lidio plenty of 'Stang business and everyone is happy with his work. fastcar, he was also going to a "shop" that hasn't dealt with MM's either, I was concerned for him myself. I don't know how he made out, we shall see though.

Yikes. He already went? Yeah, that's not too good. How's that guy going to adjust all the shift point/load, lockup settings? Lidio OWNED one of these cars, and spent countless hours perfecting his tune...

Rauder, I missed you last night at the track. We'll have to go in the spring ;)

Lidio still does own his MM, right?.... I know dude, I work 2nd shift so it's pretty tough for me to do anything. You must come over and help me put Mr. F.I.T on too!

I exchanged PM's with Lideo a few months ago and he indicated that he would reload an XCAL-1 with his tune for $50.00 or $100.00. I forget which and deleted the PM. But he can do it.

Here I am, here I am. At my request, they put the 4.10's in, recalibrated the speedometer, got rid of a nasty flat spot under acceleration, and stiffened up them shift points real nice. ;) I told them not to get it on the dyno and tune it, as I was going to have Lidio do it if possible. These guys had GREAT knowledge on the MM's in regards to weight, tall OD, powerband, etc.... I'll be honest, I was about to have them tune it, but cant go wrong with a Lidio tune from what you guys have been saying.
Thanks for all the advice, and especially, your concern!
