Jim, I thought the Ford Victoria from the early '50s was the forerunner of the CV. The Galaxy was big, though.

Had a '64 Galaxie convertible and a '71 LTD coupe. Both great cars, the '71 was a real boat, man that hood had to be 20 feet long! Loved cruising in that car.
