Easy to make. Just use the MM grille and exhaust plus Stang take off rims and TaDa!!!!! It would still have the 2.73 rear end and othe GM stuff.

I don't like those rims at all on a 'Stang let alone a GM.

2.73? yuck!

2.73's aren't all that bad. Those were in my '95 CV before I changed out for an LSD with 3.55's. Off the line they suck, but they shine on the highway.

It's obvious that the owner wanted to look like a Marauder, but you got to give him credit for stating clearly "Marauder look-alike".
I found the funniest thing in the ad is that the seller believes that the "wood trim" is real wood. Also, leather seating is really just the seating surfaces, the remainder is vinyl.

And the audio equipment is JUNK!
Dual, Scoche amps (good accesories, though), 5000 pico farad?!, (1/2 farad is too small), Jensen?

The install is clean, but amateur.

To me, is screams 'CHEAP A$$$'!!!

From the shortcut Peter posted I found this review that makes this sound like it was an option choice: http://jacksongang.us/2003MercuryGrandMarquisReview. pdf

I'm confused...is this a One off made by an individual or is this something that Mercury Produced? I don't see fod lamp recesses, and looks like vic side marker lights. What gives?

It is a one off made by the individual.

The GM Ultimate is a real deal. A family menber of mine once owned one.

Purchased new, it looked just like the one pictured EXCEPT for the exhaust, rims and of course the sound system.

It also came with floor mats embroidered with Ultimate just as ours has Marauder.

If money weren't an issue, I would seriously consider,...

Mike.

After doing a bit of research....The Ultimate Was produced, but no Marauder like exhaust, Or certainly not that sound system...I do have a question though... The GVWR for this car is 5500lbs... Thats a P 71 suspension... our cars GVWR is 5240, what gives? There is something to this car, just not sure what.

I don't think it looks that bad. Actually looks like a nice clean custom job. I don't know if I would buy one, but I wouldn't bash it. Thank God it isn't blue. Woops...

My car is essentially an older version. It was listed as “2000 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Ultimate” when I bought it at the dealership.
It is the Premium package & HPP package with extras added, the only thing mine didn’t have was the CD changer.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The same guy wrote this article about the car I have: http://www.nctd.com/review-final.cfm?Vehicle=2000_Mercury _Grand%20Marquis&ReviewID=684 (http://www.nctd.com/review-final.cfm?Vehicle=2000_Mercury _Grand%20Marquis&ReviewID=684)
