Hey all,
Since it's starting to get a bit chilly here in Missouri. Wondering if under 156 degree fluid temps is too cool for a tranny That's the highest its been even during the run to Commerce and back. Stock tranny other than the addition of a cooler and was wondering if i should disconnect it before it gets much colder. This morning it was down to 24* and fluid temp only got to 122 at the end of the trip to work, it only got to 54* and max for fluid was 136 arriving home.

P.s. water temps are running 182 to 186*

Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds good to me.
Nothing to worry about.

Waymon, although there IS such a thing as having ATF temps be "too" cool, you aren't there yet. As long as you left the factory cooler in line, it has a thermostatic circuit that will go into bypass if the temp is low.

Thanks, the oem is in place and the aftermarket cooler is supposed to have a bypass as well.
It's good coming from two that live where it gets colder, sooner, and longer than here.
