YES, No rear spoiler :D
UGLY!
And no, that grill wont look good molded into the MM frame.
Only the very center allows air to pass through.

Put me down for a black one...I hate green.
What's up with the magic number of 7,700 units? Why not 7,694?

Technically yes, but you'd be a poser if you had a GT and slapped Bullitt stuff on. Not to mention the boosted performance on the Bullitt compared to a regular GT.

They didn't have any black Mustangs in the movie. The car might grow on me, but I'm not really impressed. They should have done something different with the grill.

The 01 is better, what they needed to do was provide an actual brake upgrade like in 01 not performance pads. They should have also put on a heat extractor hood to be a throwback to the 68 and a front bumper that is a little more unique. So if they actually did a gt500 front hood and bumper but and have the grille style similar to what it is now it would look fine. That paired with an actual brake upgrade would make it a little more worth it imo.

I like it, but the grille treatment is a little bland. I love the color though, and the +15 hp, rims (of course) and rear spoiler delete are nice.

The article was rough to read.. Too Many Typos. Pakes?? Holy cow, spell check please!!
I like it regardless. Everything else can be corrected. Wonder how hard it will be to get one.

Calipation was the best one for me in that article lol. If they wanted that ugly grille so bad, they could have at least slapped a nice badge on it to "spicen" it up.

You can probably expect a markup of a few grand.

I think its really nice
I just left my Ford dealer and may have one. I will find out later. Sounds like no extra mark up!

I have nothing against the color, but it just seems rather bland. Maybe it will grow on me, but then it will probably be too late to get one.

It's okay I was expecting more, like a retro hood.
As for the power adders you can get them anywhere cheaper CAI, UD pulleys, exhaust and a tuner.

Ugly. Butt ugly.
I thought about getting rid of the marauder for one... But then I saw the press release and am proud to be a MM owner again.
I would like the new Bullitt better if it had round headlights, less sharp angles and edges, a more retro interior, and diffrent badging. Im quite dissapointed in Ford right now. I still like it, but it could be way better.
Like the MM it has been called "a wolf in sheeps clothing," but at the end of the day the Bullitt is like a minimalist mustang, and the MM is the king of the whole panther platform.
I often wonder: if the original Bullitt movie was made in the last 4 years- Would Frank be driving a Marauder?
The Bullitt is nice, but long live the Marauder; WE ROCK!

+1 on that. love the movie and love the car. i thought it was as close to a replica as Ford could get without sky rocketing the price(like the GT500... no faster than a Nissan 350Z, and cost about $15k more)
Its a v6, with a GT engine in it.
Man people are dumb...
its a sleeper.... just like the MM. i love when people takeme for JUST a cop car... man are they surprised. if some meatball rolls up to you in his Cheese-maro and thinks your a v6 in the Bullitt and then you show him whos boss, it is awesome. plus i love the minimalist badging.

I like the shift knob...... :sleepy:The wheels dont look too great, I think it would be okay of the spokes were black and the actual lip of the rim chrome or just left as polished aluminum.. like the Buick GNX. I cant see any reason to want that car other than its limited production #. Better off modding a stock GT and I guess if you want to be special go for the lower line of the shelbys.. just my opinion

and that's fine. You don't 'get' what this car is. That's why it's a limited special edition and not a regular production version.
For many Mustang guys the best option is to buy a GT and modify from there.
Many people didn't 'get' the Marauder either

A Shelby would have better resale John in the long run. Not to mention IMO the Shelby looks better than the Bullitt.
My problem is I like the look of the Bullitt. Its the right color and it would show up in the spring when I want it. This is a tough decision for me. They are both nice cars. I am gonna have to think about this till next week. The other thing about the Shelby is they are not limted production like the Bullitt so what is the resale really going to be in my life time. I am getting to be old so that does not come into play unless it has to be sold to buy me diapers!

John, you CAN get a GT with a stripe delete kit, looks badass IMO and more "stealthy." I mean...........if it were me, hell I'd get the GT just because of the power difference. BUT, if it all came down to how "limited" it will become in a longggggggggg time, probably the Bullitt. Here's a good example though, look at the '01 Bullitt's. They're selling for less than $20k. Look at this one:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=233710324&dealer_id=67741&car_year=2001&model=MUST&num_records=25&systime=1194638582556&make2=&start_year=2001&keywordsfyc=__QnVsbGl0dA,,__&keywordsrep=066117108108105116 116&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=0&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&make=FORD&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Ais psearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=02038&advanced=y&end_year=2001&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=841
It only has 14k on it, and it's $17k. Here is the best, rarer color DHG one:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=232880375&dealer_id=574834&car_year=2001&model=MUST&num_records=25&systime=1194638582556&make2=&start_year=2001&keywordsfyc=__QnVsbGl0dA,,__&keywordsrep=066117108108105116 116&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=0&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&make=FORD&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Ais psearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=02038&advanced=y&end_year=2001&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=447
That's still only $21k 6 years later, which I doubt they will sell the car at that price. You could buy a Shelby for less than $50k, and in 6 years probably still sell it around there.

Call me old school, but I like the '68 much better than either one of these cars.

It seems like those Mach1's are really holding their value too.

one of my friends just pay $21k for an 03' mach1 with only 16k miles... considering the car was only what $27k new? ya they hold value.
oh and my guitarist's dad is a mustang collector. 9 total including mach1's boss 302s 70 cobra jets and some sleepers... all valued over $25k each bought a newer mach1 awhile back... its his winter car lol

As you say the new Shelby GT isn't exactly LE. I'm not so sure it will have the same resale value as the early ones, and even they took a while to get to the point they are now.

I like it and I have an '01. Pleased they did the air induction, but agree w/ previous post they could have done the hood differently w/ the concave scoops. Like the 3:73 and 5 speed only (again).
Got to give them credit, harder and harder for the big 3 to do these niche cars even though they are so cool. With gas price where they are it is no wonder these are even seeing the light of day.

Keep in mind it's not a S/C like the GT500, it's just above a base GT in power.
