So my wife and I visit Oregon (we live in Canada) to volunteer at a ranch that rescues abused horses, and rehabilitates them. The ranch also has a program that has abused children come out to help in the horses heal, and as you can imagine, amazing things happen when the two bond. We love this place!

Anyways, I'm parked in our Motel 6 parking lot, and I park in the MIDDLE space of 7 spaces. I figure with 3 empty spaces on either side, I'm safe. Later that night I see an extended cab, long box Chev pickup has parked RIGHT BESIDE ME! and all the other spaces are still empty. I resisit the urge to go out and move the car over to hog 2 spaces, thinking "It's just a car, don't be so paranoid." Well, in the morning the truck is gone and we head off to church, where I see the MM's damage. We get back to the hotel, and I see they had hit my l/f corner light, and kicked the broken pieces under my car so it wouldn't be seen right away.:mad2:

Does anyone have dealer connections? For sure I need a left front corning lamp assembly. Have to wait to get home for appraiser to look at fender, it's a bit bowed. I want OEM, not ebay Chinese cheapo parts. Any info would be greatly appreciated. We're here in Oregon for another week, then back home.

Sorry to hear about the bad people you encountered. I learned a long time ago to trust my intuiton. I would have seen what you have seen and went out and moved my car. I always park in the south 40 where ever I go. I'm sure someone here will help you out or lead you in the right directions. By the way I think what you are doing is cool,, keep up the good work.

if you contact the office....they usually have people fill out a vehicle card with LP info....maybe you could get that from them and track him down.

Damn I'm sorry to hear this!

SID210SA is correct, there might be a vehicle type and Lic plate # at registration.

I have one of those assemblies that I saved, but I can't remember which side it is from. I will try to remember to dig for it in the utility room. It has some deep scratches in it, that's why I had it replaced when I was having other body work projects done. I will try to locate it and get photos for you. Let me know if you are interested, I would ship it to you free of charge.

Man that sucks. People just have any respect for others property anymore. I have seen plenty of vehicles rubbed up against and damage, of course the person takes off before I can get a tag number but dang just leave a note if anything.

Tried that. They have LPs, but no make or model info. The PD can't go through all the LPs to find a make/model on only an assumption of guilt. Plus, the owner/truck could be anywhere by now. Good idea, though.

Today looks mighty sunny, so I'll try to find a warm sheltered spot to install the JLT. I'll drive it for a bit to see if I notice a difference, then maybe flash the Xcal in later tomorrow. Is there really THAT much of a difference?

Yeah. The fun factor goes from a 5 to an 8 level.
