Has anyone put on a billet (ala Cobra) type fuel filler door. Maybe one with black powdercoating or a black chrome look? Will the Mustang unit fit the MM?:coolman:

I've been looking for one. I thought it might give a little more 'spice' to it, by adding a little more chrome (the ring) and kind of breaking up the rear body line.
Hard to find one for a remote door though, most I've found were the manual door type.

hmmm,.. looks good but, will it fit our MMs? If it was for a CV or GM I'm sure it would, not so sure about the Mustang....
I'm interested in doing a chrome look for filler door.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Being new to the racing field, what does a billet fuel filler cover do for you?
I know what it looks like from visiting one of the above web sites.

Just adds the "bling" to the"bling-bling", dog! Or a reasonable facsimile thereof.

Well...Who's going to try this mod first? I have my doubts about it fitting the curve of the fender, and I think I'll stand back on this one...
Men, Your opinion on using the existing door, removing it, & having it chromed??

Well, guys, I'll tell you what I'll do. I kept the one from my '99 Cobra. It's a manual one, but I'll use it to check the fit. Won't be able to do it till Saturday, and I'll post pics of how it looks if it fits. That's the best I can go right now. I've been going to do this since last spring, but never got around to it. The height of being old and lazy. Besides, I was never home long enough to do anything....

Most people can't spell facsimile, or anything that looks remotely like it.

Do we agree that, "most I've found were the manual door type",
will not fit the manual type on the Marauder?
Dead thread?

I thought I would just keep it simple.
"or a Reasonable facsimile thereof"
Curly used that line in a 3 Stooges once... Never forgot it. You know he'd have been 100 yesterday?
