You really don't realize it.......old rear tires get harder and lose their grip until you get new ones......UNBELIEVABLE!!!! :bows::banana:

It will still spin them a bit all the way through first gear but the acceleration is much better and the G force is incredible (probably 2X-3X) what it was while spinning the worn tires!!

Also, the lack of road/tire noise is very noticeable!!:D

This car is still amazing.....4 years and 155K smiles later!!!:D

PS: See photo of "Tired Rears"!!!

yea I noticed that when I brought her back out onto the streets about 6-9 months after I got it. When the tires were new they would stick no matter how hard I launched it (for the most part). Later on it would spin like no other. Now w/ the H rated tires I have on their now it spins pretty easily. Curious how bad it's going to get.

Awe, you could have used those baloney skins to do a nice youtube burnout video:bigcry:

Seriously, are those widened wheels, or just 255s. They look beefy.

They're widened I believe.

Got 55K miles out of the last set.....more than 3 sets of BFG's combined and they grip much better......until they get like the ones in the photo.

No, they are far too wide, hence the widened rims.

where do you get the rears widened

There is a place on Gratiot in Michigan that does it. Not sure if they still do it... I found a link to them on Google but haven't checked it out yet.

I think someone here ran 295's on stock rims with fair results but it is not recommended!!:shake:

Weldcraft did mine for $200 each plus shipping......GREAT job and they have run true for well over a year!!

It's time for me to order new back tires. They are now chirpy from almost any start. It is also time for the snows to go on. Since upping the rear to 4.10's I am trying to wait longer to put them on. They spin much easier with the 4.10's. :drive::burn:
