it stood for Super High Output... it was the taurus with a v8 or high output v6 with an optiobal automatic and a manual came standard to my knowledge. Raudermaster had one for awhile

Adam, welcome to like 4 months ago :P. I made a post about that in the Lounge. SHO's were made from '89-'95 with V6's, and from '96-'98 with V8's. Yamaha made both of the engines which were stout right from the factory. They were competing with GT 'Stangs with only their V6's. The V8 ones were kind of dogs compared to the 6's. The best thing about the 6 cylinder ones, you could get them with a 3.0 5 spd, or a 3.2 automatic, most people opt for 3.0/5spd, although a popular swap is a 3.2/5spd, a friend of mine has that done.

my deepest apologies Jarod... how could i compete with someone who is probably on a SHO forum:P

still i wish fordwouldmake this. make a mercury version and call it a Marauder! lol i thinkit would be cool. this "concept" or Photoshop, looks darn near close to the trilogy bodykit MM.

Yamaha made both of the engines which were stout right from the factory. Except for when the cam sprockets de-index and cause $13,000 in damage to the no-longer-available motor... :shake:

It will never happen FLM is not that good. I do have to agree that it is nice but if FLM builds it it will be some sort of Dumbed Down Escort POS.

I know that "Dumbed" is not a word but it fits and I like it.

I hear ya Bob, there's a few good people in MA that do excellent cam welding on those motors. Kirk at NESHO is one. I know, I do wish they would get their heads out of their a$$es and made this, I'm sure they would sell a lot.

I saw a GT promo car at the Ford 400 last weekend with MM rims and same size and brand as our front tires.

Does anyone know if this is a body kit?? I'm in the market for a 4-door sedan, and would LOVE a Maurader, but can't see buying a 3-4 year old car.

I have found a REALLY nice Maurader with only 8K miles on Ebay that I am having a hard time finding why i shouldn't buy it.

FORD MOTOR COMPANY has the dumest group of people runing that corperation there not smart enough to put a 09 taurus sho on the street they might sell some cars. or if they do build it they will make it in limited numbers and let the dealers put ten grand on top of retail sticker price. its the same old song and dance at ford and they wonder why they cant sell cars. HEY FORD ever think about building as many cars as the american public wants to buy for a decent price. naa that wont work ....

that would be me.. BBTS is a website a friend (who is also on here with the 5speed v8 sho) and I are running trying to get the sho back. we have several new designs including a coupe, convertible, a SHOwagon, a sho ute, and more...

you had to know the person who design the concept loves marauders too :cool4:

There are a lot more SHO owners on here than I would have thought.

My current ride is a 94 3.2/5spd with a couple of mods.
