Well a time come in every mans life when he must give up the car he loves for something that gets more than 20 MPG. :(I gave up the Marauder for a new 2008 Focus. I bought a Vermillion Red four door SES. I have to say, I love the SYNC feature and having Sat radio. The car is nice, and red is a great color for this thing. Oh, did I mention it gets 30+ MPG.:D So, so llong for now, and if you want to keep me in the loop and invite me to some meetings, I would love to keep up with you guys.

I traded my modified 00 Focus ZX3 in for my 04 MM. It was a great little car. Even modded I got 29mpg around town and 36 on the highway. With suspension mods it handled like a go cart. It was even great in the snow with a snow tire package. I don't think I could back though... good luck.

Why do you feel you have to leave the Community just because you sold your Marauder???

Curious as to what happened to the Marauder, trade in or sale. If so how much.
If you drive 15K per year over 30mpg = 500 @$3.00 = $1,500
15K per year over 20mpg = 750 @$3.30 = $2,475
You will save $975 per year or $81.25 per month.
Hope your car note is not too high.

His car had 55K on it when he bough it from the dealer from trade in --I knew the original owners---I don't know how much miles he put on it but I'd guess ihe put on about 10/ 12 more maybe---so what are they asking for it??? --it was originally bought at that dealership and sold twice now--

hey Guys,
I traded the car in for $13,500. I owed $14,700 and was able to lower my payments by over $70. I still have to fill up every 7 or 8 days but costs about $36 and runs regular. For what it is worth, I didn't know the spare tire was an option so I got the inflater kit.:( By the way, I had 67K on her when I traded her in. Does anyone want to make me an offer on the trunk orgenizer? I have one in black and one in gray. So far I have been averaging 30.4 mpg at about 78mph. you guys can try this link if you want to see the car. http://apps.dealerconnection.com/dealers/huntersvilleford/usedvehicles?lang=en By the way Tom, let me know when you want me in the pits and I am there for you.:banana2: Also if you guys need anything done to your Marauders, I might be able to do some side work for you. Like installs and such. As for the Focus, I do not know what mods I plan to do but 3d Carbon has a nice little kit and I cant wait to see what Steeda does. Keep in touch guys and after Christmas I will be ready to eat some wings!!! Let's get together.

I'll let him know.
That would be I, and PM sent. Sorry to see ya go, but at least you can take comfort in your trunk organizer going to help a new MM owner.
And thanks for the heads up Chris, I appreciate it.

Everything you want to know about a Focus can be found at focaljet.com. I was there for 4 years before coming here. Do some intake/exhaust mods, a chip, and you will increase the MPG and fun factor.

Yeah I called them and that's what they wanted. I work at another Ford dealership and they wouldn't even hook me up dealer to dealer. So needless to say it's still there

18......way too much..........someone will need to go there and educate them about things.........before the preverbal A s s for every car shows up and pays that crazy price....and not know what a real nice car they have--I'd come with an approved cashiers/bank check of 11 or 12K and say ----"this check is going some where today--with my trade--you want it?" ....gets them thinking a bit diff...........course I'm thinking a trade that is a POS.......

Well, I am glad that I'm past that point of life. ;)
Hey, enjoy the Focus ... I've had one as a loaner once or twice and it is a deceptive little car. Much roomier than I expected. And its a FORD.

Doesnt look like its in bad shape, just the mileage that knocks the price down....
Anyone need a DD?

I hope you enjoy the Focus. I'm willing to bet you don't keep it through the warranty period, you go through cars like Doan's goes through pills! I think the MM is a better long term investment but I realize you need affordable transportation as well. Enjoy the Ride!

Good luck Archie! I too have given way to increasing
maintenance costs and have acquired a gas sipper.
It was really difficult to find a good mechanic around here.
I sold early November for $11,500 with 95K on her.
I still have an item that I though others would be interested in.
A SCT Tuner (Excalibrator II) with the program
Dennis Reinhart put on it. PM me!
The Carolina Marauders are a great bunch of folks.
We'll always remember ya'.
Love & Peace,
Steve Cory
