Now that is what I call a short throw shifter! That's nuts they're going for that much. I had said they would sell over MSRP. I guess it depends on the dealer.

Order one for me as well John.
Then its right on ebay so I can put some $$$ in the bank!

I don't think so. Dealers do this on eBaY all the time with specialty cars.
A few even did it when the Marauders were announced.

It is nuts. Everyone i know who has ordered one has it at, many below, MSRP.
That auction is a hidden bidder one, I suspect there was no 'real' bidder, and if ther was they didn't read that they were bidding over MSRP

It's a tribute to the Mustang of the movie Bullitt. That car was green. I suppose anyone who doesn't like green is lucky they are offering it in black as an option.
Blue and it's just another Mustang, why bother.

I had an "01" Bullitt that I sold earlier this year with 3,500 miles, it was DHG, dark highland green to you fellow Marauder owners...Lol
Anyway, I just helped a guy find a more rare "01" known as TB, true blue in color, almost like the color used on the 03 Marauder's. Well, it had under 2,500 actual miles, he bought it on e-bay for under $17k, a pretty good deal. I'd take another "01" anyday over the new one coming out. Plus, with all the $$$$ you'd save, just bank the rest & enjoy your new ride!

Yea, I know, I have the movie. I'm just saying they had all 3 colors back in '01, just surprised they didn't have them all agian.

NOTICE: You are bidding on the right to buy our first 2008 Bullitt Mustang. This bid is for the amount OVER and ABOVE MSRP on the vehicle. The final and total price will be determined by the factory and by the options the winning bidder will specify. You may custom order this piece of motor vehicle history with any valid interior & exterior color options.
Also if you check the vin to the Ford Vin Decoder is comes back as a 2008 V6 Mustang.

I would have to do some digging, but if memory stands me correctly, Ford plans the MSRP on the 2008 Bullitt to be around $31K or $32K, I believe. I guess that if you have over $60K just burning a hole in your pocket, then by all means go for it!!!

This is a scam sort of.
You bid now then when the car is released said person buys it for MSRP and sells it to you at this price plus what said person buys it for.
Unless this is a dealership, in which case you should report them to Ford.

Yes it sounded like MSRP.
The Bullitt is eligible for A/Z/D/X plans as well.
Being a current 2001 Bullitt owner I find it interesting that dealerships use this tactic on eBay. Some newbie may not read all the fine print and find out the bad news only after the auction is over.
anyhow. . .here's a clip of the new 2008 Bullitt, 40 Years of Badass Subtlety

It's been my understanding that a dealer does not have to sell a car using the Ford discount programs.
When I bought my 2003 TBird, one dealer said OK, another (closer to home) said "no".
Finally, when I told him another dealer agreed, he agreed also.
