I can't believe that the Marauder matches up so closely with the Mercedes.. who 'da thunk? Both nice cars but, I would take the Marauder over the Mercedes any day.

Pretty cool. They got the MM hp/tq wrong though. It's 302/318.

The Mercury doesn't fall apart after 25,000 miles. I like how they said keep the extra 50 grand. :burnout:

Extremely accurate (The early hp and tq numbers were 300/310) review! I can't believe it is Motor Trend. Not once did they write "The Boulevard Behemoth" or "Design Neanderthal" or "The Aging Platform" etc. etc. etc.
Cool article, I will save that one! Great find.

That review was one of the reasons I bought my Marauder.

Yea, I hate when they get into that Aging platform stuff... I have yet to drive a Unibody car that feels as solid as mine..

That was also a dubious time for a lot of Eurpoean cars, Mercedes Benz included. I remember all the pretty Benzes and Bimmers from that part of the decade fully equipped with one taillight/brakelight/headlight/foglight that was out for some reason.

To this day, I can't believe how many European cars I can spot at night without at least one brakelight out. What's with European cars and the total misunderstanding of Ohm's Law?
