This video is the reason why I own a Marauder. My friend sent it to me at 9am on a Saturday, by 3pm the same day, I had a deposit on my 03.

Did you leave the 4.56 gears in it? Just wondering if I'm the only one left. :P

Old....

I won't miss Billy though. He nearly stole my title with that video, and did in some repects. That was done for a contest set up for Trilogy owners ONLY. I begged to get in it. Still NA, and never a Trilogy owner...:(

But I love good burnouts. If your tires look like this, you did good.
Billy went through two used sets for that shoot. :bows:

And has the trophy to prove it !!! :trophy: Or was it cash, I forget.

Of course, Defyant's 63 second burnout at SSHS7 was the burnout of the year in my opinion. If you weren't there or haven't seen Merc's DVD --- that burnout is worth the price of admission alone.

Somebody say my name?

Its still got 4.56's and it gets 17-18mph under 80 mph. I ran a best of 8.26 @ 87mph (8.26@ 87mph) in the 1/8th mile.

That equals a 12.7-12.8 ET. What was your 60', Temp/Hum & Track Elevation? Your mph is high for 8.26, did u spin out?

Drewstang
12-08-2007, 04:26 PM
60' was 2.02 track temp was 85*, elevation I have no idea. Check www.ohiovalleyraceway.com (http://www.ohiovalleyraceway.com) for that. The 4.56's gave me some traction issues and the lack of prep didn't help.

sailsmen

def spin out. Your ET w/ that 1/8 trap = in the 1/4 s/b 12.4/12/5.

Ahh yes the beloved burnouts! I have a good one of my 6.0 Excursion with 12000 miles. It was at carlisle in 06 decided to do the contest and told myself I would only do it for a few seconds... but we all know how that goes. So I ended up burnin it out for 2 full minutes in 3rd gear at 3000-4000 rpms prolly about 60-70 mph at that rpm in that gear. Finished up and they had to spray the caliper cause the boots were on fire. Got back out to the field and the right side was still on fire, had to put that out. Unfortunatly I did not win went to an old bronco it was the year of the bronco's so I think they threw it. I had the most smoke you couldn't even see the bleachers.
There's a video out there somewhere... I'll dig it up. Best part was the x-wife never knew why the tires were bald and *****ed at the ford dealer to replace them, they never did.

Looked at my tires and they were down to the wear marks... I did get 40000 miles out of the tires though. Got to hairy for me in the rain. And I finally replaced the brakes all the way around on the truck new rear calipers they finnally froze up from the boots being melted. Got to 50000 miles on the brakes It cost 1000 bucks to fix all that. It was the most expensive burnout I ever did.

On my 5.0 tbird I caught the tire on fire once. Have to find the pic and video of that too.
