View Full Version : 11,05??
Anyone have any idea how many marauders are still with us? I have seen quite a few wrecked ones here on this site and other places. Its sad to me every time we lose one. Just wondering how many are still out there now? :depress:

I'd be surprised if we still have over 11,000 out there. LOTS of theft write-offs and bone-headed accidents.

There are exactly 8,753 left as of 2 PM this afternoon. That's 6,052 '03MMs and 2,701 '04MMs. :D

Nah, others here are more expert on the MM than I am. I just read alot ...... and remember alot.
As the chart estimate shows, we'll probably be just under 1,000 MMs in 2017. Only slightly more '03s (~500) than '04s (~450).
Hey charlie are the marauders being used by the FHP make up the 11,052 or separate fleet vehicles? Just curious.

Inclusive. No such thing as a separate Marauder fleet.

Shouldn't the chart start earlier like in 2002 when the 2003s were built? FHP marauders were civvy from various dealers and donated (loaned) by a rich benefactor...who gets em back when they are done with them... Dennis set em up for the FHP see the site archives.

'03s were built between July 02 and June 03. '04s were built between July 03 and June 04. For the purposes of this chart, model year is good enough. Its only an "estimate" anyway. I'd be happy if it were within +/- 5% to 10% of actuals. But, there is no way of really knowing anyhow.

your sayin as of right no theres only bout 9400 mms left?
Thanks for the info blue! Where did you get those numbers from?
Wow, I'm so happy I didn't wait to finish college to get one, just another year and a half, but by then the numbers just wouldn't be in my favor and then it really becomes a seller's market. That and I got a nice deal on it now, along with a super low rate on a loan.
And this should go to main community discussion, I just managed to stumble on this by seeing it in unread posts but this is important enough to be shared.
I hope everyone here realizes how special these cars truly are. Cant wait to see what the numbers will be in2017.

Charlie,
I was thinking of this (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=29635&highlight=vin) thread where it is mentioned about the 42 possible vins.
