Mercury Marauder (http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/default.aspx?make=Mercury&model=Marauder) (2003)
The Marauder was supposed to be a movie cop car, a bad-ass American muscle sedan in the vein of the wildly successful Chrysler 300 (http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/default.aspx?make=Chrysler&model=300). Three problems: The Marauder looked more social security than undercover security. Second, the car was social security, just an antiquated Grand Marquis (http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/default.aspx?make=Mercury&model=Grand Marquis) below its blacked-out body. Third, its 4.6-liter 302-horsepower V8 felt so slow that the only perps you could catch were teenagers on foot.
Are cars made the top 6 of the worst flops for the past 25 years ouch!
