AreoForce Guage

Has anybody tried one of these? I only see one mention in my searches of MM.Net threads.. This seems like it would be a great guage to add to the guage-pod by the shifter - perhpas move one of the fake ones to the cig-lighter location, and put this one close to the driver.
It looks like it performs very similar functions to the Scan Guage -- but this looks like it might be a bit more stylish and easier to integrate. Thoughts?

There was a GB on this I believe a few months ago. I think someone was trying to get it to say "Marauder" when you turn the car on. I lost track of the thread since I didn't follow it but maybe someone can chime in.

It appears you can run two at a time (Just like you can with the Scan Guage) -- A nice upgrade might be to have TWO of these, in place of the fake oil pressure guage and the voltage guage.

I did the GB. They are available with a Marauder logo direct from Aeroforce or from Wes at Innovative.

They might have been more popular, but the Group Buy was overcome by a competitive group buy on the Scan Gauge II. The membership chose price over versatility, data bus speed, choice of color, custom logo and ease of mounting.
Go figure...

Really? Wow. What a discovery you have made....
I developed and tested these things with Aeroforce Technologies for the MM for half a year. I have a dual setup and they kick ***!
But I'm not bitter or anything.

Ummm -- I'm not sure how I should react to your seemingly hostile post. It's the first I have personally seen them.

 Phaaa... nothing personal... there's a history. :alone:
Forget Ebay. Get them from Wes or direct from Aeroforce.
I have no pillar pod, no additional gauge pod, but I have real time (8 refreshes/sec) view of 5 parameters at any given moment, alerts on 2 parameters, and the ability to monitor nearly 40. I also have 0-60, 1/8 and 1/4 mile performance calcs. And I do it all from the two stock gauge holes. I have no bulky unit to try and find a home or cut a hole for, either.
Read the posts linked above. Those who bought 'em, love 'em.
:bs: I'm just still pi$$ed I spent a bunch of time and effort to get them worked out for the MM and two GB's got timed poorly and blamo, mega effort negated by price. Whatever.
Buy a pair with the MM logos and thank me later. :bows:

Okie Doke -- I'm putting them on my list to buy... I have been reading through the posts provided... Would have been so awesome to be able to buy them off the shelf with the black/red "MARAUDER" overlay with white god's head. :D

They were a b*tch to get worked out. Apparently, our data stream is different than any other Ford as far as these things are concerned. I swapped 7 sets with aeroforce and documented and logged until Todd got it worked out.
Now, they are perfect. They should have come with the car.
Rich, what are you doing for oil pressure readout?

There is an add on sensor kit for about 60 bucks.

I read every post about *both* products. One of the major worries was about the ability to read oil pressure. I noticed that several posters were concerned about loosing the oil-pressure notification. By now, we are all aware that the guage is little more than a dummy light.
I'm forced to point out, that even if you remove the fake oil-pressure gauge, if your oil pressure falls to a dangerously low level, the computer will throw the Check Engine Light! And secondly -- if that happens, you can use your new gauge to find out what trouble code has been logged! (It'll log the code for low-oil pressure.)

So easily done, my friend! These pictures are old, I rescaled it to "fit" better. For less than the price of a happy meal, it came out pretty good, I think...

Since the oil pressure "gauge" is basically an on/off switch, would there be a way of putting an idiot light where the lighter is, to come on if the oil pressure dropped too low?

Reinhart has done this with a relay.
As Zack said, the OP sender from Aeroforce is about 60 bucks.
I also have their vac/boost sender for the blower and it works perfect. I compared it's numbers to a straight analog shop gauge and it's right on.

Been there... done that. Even added a buzzer in case you don't see the light.

Is there a way of doing it using the existing factory wiring that feeds the gauge?
