My new friend/bass player has himself a 67 Mustang and just took it in to get some major work done. He was looking into a 331 stroker (sorry if the number is off) and probably around 330hp to the wheels. I have 406 to my wheels, but his car is a lot lighter and he was also considering a 100 shot of nitrous. I think I can take him if he runs natural, but bottle to boost might be a close one. He has a 3:90 gear I think also. Any guesses?

He's got a carburetor, and a distributor, plus with all that torque and light weight, he'll just smoke the tires. :burnout: .............he won't have a chance.
Just save it for the track, K? ;)

if u go natural, u should be able to take him ( some people dont relize the laws of physics) boost to bottle, sounds like a tie.
Dom I dont know but if you bring him over I will give him a try! I think that he might have the edge on you if he knows how to drive it. Have a Merry Christmas!

I have a 5.0 with a 331 stroke...
It's rated at 450 Hp out of the box...
But it's also bored out 30* over...with a few other goodies....
Watch out...pound for pound stroked 5.0's are WICKED!!!

Have fun. I don't know whats done to your car but when I made 335rwhp on a dyno that weekend I ran low 12's in my mustang. These cars are fun to mod but when it comes to a drag strip unless your packing alot of HP to make up for the weight you'll fall short.

Only if you followed the earlier advce as to why your car was not turning the times you expected!
