4" Megs Tip Group Buy/No More 3.5" Delete Tips

Hi Guys and Gals,
I know not everyone reads the vendor forums, so let me just drop this here.

Heres the Bad news:
Innovative Interceptors has had a great relationship with Megs since 2002, when we started selling the Resonated tips to the Crown vic/Marquis guys, and then later the delete tips to fellow MM owners. After a 5 year run, Megs informed me that they no longer wanted to produce the Marauder tip, as sales have dwindled, and orders are VERY slow.

That being said, my inventory of 3.5" delete and resonated tips are exhausted (no pun intended) with the exception of 2 sets of resonated tips that were cut off very low mileage Marauders.

The Good news is:
I have talked Megs into making a special run of 4" tips that we did a few years ago.

These tips are Polished Stainless like the OE tips, they will be 26" Long, with a 4" outlet, rolled 15 degrees (OE tips are 30, the machine cannot roll the 4" 30 degrees). They do give the car a more aggressive sound, esp if your exhaust is stock. I have this setup on the BLUE and it sounds great, without any drone down the highway. The will not have the Meg's inscription (You cant see it anyway with the larger diameter pipe in the bumper cutout)

Meg's needs 20 pairs to make an order, and I already have 20 folks from the board that want to go forward with it. I'm just tossing this in the Main forum in case anyone doesn't browse the other forums to see whats going on, and to get on this group buy that probably will not happen again.

Details
$200 Per pair, free Ground Shipping (FedEx or UPS) to CONUS, Hawaii, Alaska and Canada, I'll split it with ya.

Production time is 6-8 Weeks and then time to ship to us and then out to you. Megs requires payment up front from me, so I will charge everyones card at one time, then place the order with Megs. Check my forum and feedback as a Vendor, I ALWAYS Deliver, maybe not exactly on the dot, but you will get your product, guaranteed.

Order cutoff date is Jan 18, 2008. At that point I will place the order with Megs and production will start! I also always order a few extra sets for those of y'all that don't get to see this in time, so those of you reading this thread when its after cutoff date may snag a pair!

I went to a local muffler shop and they had to cut them off and re-weld the new ones on. The stock tips are welded on to a longer tailpipe so there is no other option.

You might be able to find some unsold FRPP #M-5230-T2: 3 1/2", 26" long Megs SS tips orginally sold for Mustangs. The only difference is the location of the welded on hanger bar. They are not in the current FRPP catalog.

Those sold out long ago, I bought all the remaining inventory. Those were actually one offs for the marauder that did NOT meet the NVH requirements and Megs didn't want them back, so they showed up in the FRPP catalog.

Yes, a chain cutter would work and be fairly painless. I will do that and then use a pipe spreader and a stainless band clamp to install to new tips. that way I can remove them for cleaning or whatever in the future. The other solution would be to have the welded at you local exhaust shop.

I dont really know yet... Have to wait and see what they look like when they arrive. I do hope there is enough pipe for a band clamp..... But we will see in April I guess!

I have 2 MMs and actually drive them. What is the world am I going to do when I actually have to replace an exhaust system? Do I have to stockpile all of the parts in advance for a 'rainy' day? This is getting expensive!

Wouldn't be a bad idea. At least with the new Pony Package on the V6 Mustangs using our MM wheel we will be able to get more hopefully at a lower price than before though.

When I get the extra funds I know I will get a set of the 4" tips just to hold onto until I get my new exhaust system sometime later on in the year or maybe even next year.
